General Business:

1. ZL2MA suggested that Bryan Thompson should be sent a letter thanking him for the offer of a site for the Nat Sys repeater and advising him that we have now secured a suitable site.

2. Alan ZL2AWR asked if Civil Defence still want our services should another emergency arise. Barry and David thought not. Tony ZL2ALO said that their comms is run outside of Wanganui. ZL2RR said that the emergency didn’t affect Wanganui.

3. Russell ZL2AXN asked if we were going to keep our equipment at Civil Defence. John ZL2JEL is yet to approach them. ZL2RR suggested we leave it a few months due to the new mayor.

4. Bob ZL2AAQ asked if the new HF vertical on the clubrooms is to be guyed. It is currently guyed with nylon but will be more permanently secured soon.

5. Christmas Dinner. About 16 have indicated their intention attend.

6. Jeff ZL2THO asked Graham if he had heard any more about the St Pauls Hall. Nothing yet, but he will keep his ear to the ground. ZL2MA suggested the Darts Hall might be suitable but ZL2AHR thought it was too small.

7. Bob ZL2AAQ thanked John for the regular e-mails.

8. ZL2JEL reported on the Moto X event at which some of our members helped with communications. PRS equipment was used. There was only one bad accident. John thanked those who had helped at the event and passed on the MC Club’s appreciation of our services. A cheque will arrive shortly.

9. ZL2MA wondered about any liability on us if there was an accident at such events as the Moto X caused by or attributed to us. Russell ZL2AXN thought we should find out where we fit into their safety plan.

10. Jeff ZL2THO raised the issue of eligibility of candidates for nomination and election to club office after it was thought that a person was not financial to the Branch at the last AGM and then subsequently ended up holding office. Barry ZL2RR said that the person was in fact financial as far as Barry was concerned.

There being no further business, the meeting was closed at 2015.
