Minutes of the monthly meeting of the Wanganui Amateur
Radio Society Inc. Branch 48 NZART held in the
Hunters and Stalkers Hall, 100 Peat St,
Wanganui at 1935 hrs on Monday 6th October, 2008.

Visitors: Nil

Minutes: Were read and confirmed.

Accounts: Barry ZL2RR reported that a cheque for $81 which was payment for advertising in Break- In had not been presented.

AREC Report: Nil

National System Report: Mike ZL1BNB reported it to be functioning OK. The loss of Jim ZL2KR’s workshop is a blow and could hinder progress on the Moxon antenna..

Repeater Reports:        690. Nil

                                           STSP. Mike ZL1BNB brought it back to clubrooms.

General Business:

1. David ZL2MA encouraged members to come up on the Awards Net on 3675 and help promote the ZL2JA Award.

2. Jeff ZL2THO to distribute Amateur Radio leaflets to various schools, public Library etc.

3. Mike ZL1BNB reported a way forward had been proposed by the lawyer for the North Shore Council but there was not enough time to implement it.
