of the monthly meeting of the
Wanganui Amateur
Radio Society Inc. Branch 48 NZART held in the
Hunters and Stalkers Hall, 100 Peat St,
Wanganui at 1930 hrs on Monday 2nd March, 2009.

Correspondence
IN:
Letter from Mrs I Weaver, re Jason’s article in paper and offer of
FT107M, Qbit and Letter from Doug Ingham ZL2TAR advising he had
been approved by MED to issue Amateur Callsigns.
Matters arising from:
Mrs Weavers letter : Jason to reply to her letter and ask about the Ft107M, whether it is for sale or being offered free.
ZL2TAR’s
letter: After discussion on the subject it was decided that the branch
apply for a special call for the 50th Wanganui junk sale period. with
discussion as to whether there was time to alter details to incorporate
it into the Wanganui Junk sale award.
General Business:
1. Barry ZL2RR advised that he had under awkward conditions put together a history of the junk sale for Break In.
2.
Rod ZL2ACE Advised that he had been contacted regards the setting up of
an APRS repeater, he advised that he had no interest in such a project.
3.
David ZL2MA asked for volunteers for roster for the Wanganui Junk sale
award, Six people volunteered, the period being from the 1st of April
until end of month.
4. Rob ZL2AN advised that he now had the complete folder on 690 and would arrange for two more copies to be made.
5. Jason advised that ISS (International Space Station) was now operating in FM repeater mode. .
6. Barry ZL2RR: Nominated Mike ZL1BNB and Rob ZL2NA trustees for STSP system. (ZL2RR - ZL2AXN) Secretary to notify NZART.
7.
Phil ZL2NJ spoke on the weekend branch 48 Field day activity, very wet
at times but enjoyed by all. ZL2JA operated in the 80Metre phone
section, a set of photo’s were passed around.
